1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Coverlttr platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.
2. Description of Services
Coverlttr provides tools for generating personalized cover letters, previewing templates, and analyzing uploaded resumes. The platform is designed for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes without express permission.
3. User Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when using the platform.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree not to misuse the platform by uploading harmful or illegal content.
4. Prohibited Activities
Users may not engage in the following activities:
- Copying or distributing platform materials without authorization.
- Using the platform for fraudulent or malicious purposes.
- Attempting to interfere with platform security or functionality.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, templates, and software on the platform are owned by Coverlttr or licensed for use. Users may not copy, modify, or distribute these materials without permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, lost opportunities, data loss, or unauthorized access to your account.
7. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms of Use or other improper conduct.
8. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data linked to it at any time. Coverlttr does not currently offer a self-serve "delete account" control in the app, so deletion is handled by our support team. To make a request, use the contact form on our website or email our support address (see section 10) from the address registered to your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, and we process verified requests within 30 days.
When we process a deletion request, the following applies:
- Deleted right away: we close and deactivate your account and delete your profile details, cover letters, uploaded CVs and other files, and saved job listings from our active systems. Access to the account ends as soon as it is closed.
- Backups: encrypted disaster-recovery backups can still contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion. We do not use those copies for any other purpose, and they are overwritten as the backup cycle rolls over.
- Billing and invoice records: we keep invoices, receipts, credit purchases, and related payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted. These records can include your name, email address, and billing details.
- Legal holds: if we must keep data for a legal claim, investigation, or regulatory obligation, we retain the relevant records until that matter is resolved and then delete them.
- Aggregated or anonymized data: statistics that can no longer be linked to you may be kept longer, because they no longer identify you.

9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
